Rancho Cordova trash service changed hands in 2025

Rancho Cordova residential garbage, recycling, organics, and street sweeping moved to Atlas Disposal, so residents should use the current city waste page.

Rancho Cordova made a real waste-service change in 2025. Since January 1, 2025, the city has used Atlas Disposal for home garbage, recycling, and street sweeping service. The regular curbside setup covers garbage, food and yard waste, and mixed recycling.

This applies to many home types. It includes single-family homes, duplexes, triplexes, mixed-use properties, and some fourplexes. An old phone number, old hauler name, or old move-in note may send you the wrong way.

For daily service questions, Atlas is the contact for missed pickups, cart issues, collection details, and home account help. The Rancho Recycles pages still matter too. They hold the larger program information, local waste rules, and city updates.

The change is a good reminder that Sacramento-area suburbs can have different trash setups. They may look similar from the street, but the service rules can differ. Rancho Cordova has its own contract and its own waste page. A habit from Sacramento, Folsom, or the county may not match the address.

After moving in, use the city waste page to confirm the hauler, cart setup, street sweeping details, and contact information.
