A PSPS notice depends on your electric utility
A current PSPS check belongs on the serving utility's live map; CPUC's map list is not exhaustive and its post-event dashboard is historical.
First find the electric utility that serves the exact address. Then use that utility’s live outage map and alert page. A Public Safety Power Shutoff is a last-resort fire-safety step by the utility. It covers a specific area. It is not a countywide forecast or a normal billing issue.
The CPUC outage-map page links six investor-owned electric utilities. It does not list every public utility, city system, or co-op in California. If one of those providers serves you, use its own official map. The CPUC also has a PSPS post-event dashboard. That dashboard is updated after events and shows past data. It is not a live status page.
A PSPS watch, time estimate, or boundary can change. It can also be canceled. Sign up for utility alerts for the service address. Make a plan for medications, refrigeration, mobility or medical equipment, communications, and a well pump. No utility program or alert can keep the power on in every outage.
Call 911 if lost power creates an immediate medical or safety emergency. For current status, use the utility’s live page. For help with one address, call the utility’s customer line.
