Lancaster building permits often start in Accela
Lancaster routes many building permit requests, fee payments, uploads, status checks, and inspection steps through the Accela Citizen Access portal.
In Lancaster, many building permit jobs start online through Accela Citizen Access. You can use it to send in a permit request. You can also pay fees, upload files, check status, and work with inspections.
For common home work, Accela is often the first place to look. That can include solar, water heaters, heat and air work, electrical work, plumbing, and signs.
Large business projects can use a different packet. If the job is a new building, addition, or shop build-out, check the Building and Safety page before you pick a form.
