Westminster trash, bulky items, and sweeping use different offices

Westminstertrash pickupstreet sweeping

Westminster’s Public Works maintenance page is useful because it separates several things people often lump together. Abandoned items in the public right-of-way, bulky item pickup, graffiti, potholes, sidewalk repairs, parkway trees, street sweeping, and trash pickup do not all use the same contact.

For bulky items, the page points residents to Midway City Sanitary District. For abandoned items in the right-of-way, it gives a city phone number. For potholes and sidewalk repairs, the city maintenance contact is the better fit.

That split matters on busy residential streets where a couch at the curb, a missed pickup, a pothole, and a street sweeping question can look like one general trash problem.

Before calling, name the issue clearly and gather the address or nearest cross street. For street sweeping or trash pickup day questions, use the map or pickup-day information tied to the address.
