Santa Clarita trash runs through Burrtec
Santa Clarita moved city waste service to Burrtec, with regular trash, recycling, organics, bulky item, and customer-service details tied to that hauler.
Santa Clarita’s trash setup changed in 2023. Older habits can point people to the wrong place. Burrtec took over city waste service for homes and businesses. The same change brought food scraps and yard waste into the home routine.
For most homes, the everyday rhythm is garbage, recycling, and green carts. Burrtec’s Santa Clarita page also covers bulky item pickup, drop-off details, e-waste, pickup day maps, service changes, and account requests.
Bulky pickup is scheduled. Some items, such as old electronics, have separate drop-off rules. Use Burrtec for account and pickup details. Use Green Santa Clarita for local program updates, green-cart reminders, and waste tips.
