Temecula has 75 zones while its evacuation plan is still developing

Temecula's 75 evacuation zones are available now, but its first citywide mass-evacuation plan is still being developed and incident routes or shelters are not fixed.

TemeculaAlertRivCOevacuation zones

Temecula has divided the city into 75 evacuation zones based on hazards, vulnerability, population, and major roads. Enter an address in Genasys Protect to find the zone for home, work, school, or someone you may need to help.

The zone framework is usable now, but Temecula’s first citywide mass-evacuation plan is still being developed. Zone routes, shelter relocations, threats, and temporary evacuation points are being added as the work continues. Draft locations on the planning page are not a promise that a particular shelter or route will be used in an incident.

Temecula ALERT is the city’s first channel for evacuation notifications, followed by city social media. The city website is a primary online source during a citywide emergency. Alert RivCo remains another county warning path, and cell or VoIP users need to register for it.

Save the zone and register for both useful alert paths. When an incident happens, use the current Temecula ALERT message for the route, timing, and destination instead of trying to finish the plan from a draft map.
