Imagination Park puts Yoda, Indiana Jones, George Lucas, downtown San Anselmo, and Town Hall into one small Marin County stop.
San Anselmo has one of those small downtown stops that makes people smile before they even know the whole story. Imagination Park sits in the heart of downtown, next to Town Hall, at 525 San Anselmo Avenue.
George Lucas donated the land to the town in 2013. The park includes life-sized Yoda and Indiana Jones statues by sculptor Lawrence Noble, which turns a simple walking path and bench area into a quick pop-culture landmark.
The fun part is the scale. This is not a giant theme park or a long museum visit. It is a small public spot where someone running errands, meeting a friend, or walking downtown can pause for a photo and keep moving.
