Inglewood has a general alert path and a 2026 FIFA match-day path
Alert SouthBay is Inglewood's general emergency system; the city's Match Day Ready signup is specifically for 2026 FIFA World Cup traffic, weather, safety, and emergency updates.
Alert SouthBay is Inglewood’s general emergency notification system. Residents and businesses can register for messages by text, email, phone, and other listed contact methods. Use that for the ongoing local alert path.
The city’s Match Day Ready page is narrower than its name may sound. It is for the 2026 FIFA World Cup matches in Inglewood, not every football game, concert, or regular event day. For those World Cup updates, the city tells U.S. phone users to text FIFALA26 to 888-777; international visitors can use the Everbridge app. The messages can cover traffic, weather, safety, and emergency information.
That distinction matters for neighbors as much as ticket holders. A World Cup message may help with a work shift, school pickup, grocery run, transit connection, or guest arrival. For another event, use the event organizer, venue, transit agency, city traffic information, and Alert SouthBay rather than assuming the FIFA keyword is active for it.
Keep the general alert registration year-round. Treat Match Day Ready as a time-limited 2026 event channel and recheck the city page before relying on its keyword.
