Fullerton emergency prep has AlertOC and a local planning desk

AlertOC is the notification path Fullerton gives residents for time-sensitive emergency messages. Register the cell, email, or other contact methods you use, and keep Wireless Emergency Alerts and official city information available as additional layers.

The Emergency Management pages are for planning, training, supplies, and city coordination. Fullerton’s hazard-mitigation page is another planning document, not a live alert. Its current title is the 2026 Local Hazard Mitigation Plan, and the page still says the draft is pending City Council adoption even though it lists a June 16, 2026 adoption meeting. Until the city updates that status, describe it as a draft, not the final adopted plan.

For an active event, start with the latest AlertOC or official public-safety message. For long-term risk and city projects, use the mitigation plan but check its adoption status. That distinction matters: one tells you what to do now, while the other explains how the city intends to reduce future risk.
