Brea bulky pickup is scheduled through Republic

Brea residents schedule curbside trash, bulky items, hazardous waste questions, and e-waste pickups through Republic Services, with three free bulky pickups each year.

Breabulky item pickupe-waste

Brea keeps most curbside trash and recycling questions pointed to Republic Services. That includes service questions, regular pickup, bulky item pickup, e-waste pickup, and special trash questions.

For bulky items, the useful number is three. Brea residents get three free bulky item pickups each year, with up to 20 items per pickup. E-waste pickups do not have the same yearly limit. Republic Services schedules the removal, so this is something to set up before furniture, appliances, or boxes are sitting outside.

This helps during a move, a garage cleanout, a mattress replacement, or a home office cleanup. It also helps keep usable items and special waste from getting mixed into the wrong pile. The Brea trash page groups recycling tips, donations, bulky items, hazardous waste, and used oil information together, which is a hint that not every item belongs in the same pickup.

Before calling, make a short list of what you want picked up. Separate e-waste from regular bulky items, and pause before putting out paint, chemicals, oil, batteries, or other hazardous waste. If the item might need special handling, ask before setting it at the curb. Apartment, condo, and HOA residents may also have a property rule about where large items can wait for pickup, so check that before pickup day.
