Anaheim is easy to picture through big attractions. Oak Canyon Nature Center shows a quieter side of the city. It is tucked into Anaheim Hills, where the day can feel more like a canyon walk than a packed schedule.

Oak Canyon is a 58-acre natural park with a year-round stream, three canyons, and four miles of trails. It protects oak woodland and coastal sage scrub, and the John J. Collier Interpretive Center adds live animals and local nature exhibits to the visit.

It is an easy place to start small: a short hike, a school group, a family walk, or a first step into local nature. Before you drive up the hill, check hours, tours, programs, and visitor rules.
